Result
Sida and SDC in Myanmar have decided to co-finance a project by an non-governmental organisation. The overall objective of the project is that displacement-affected communities in Shan, Rakhine and Kayah states are better protected and become self-reliant through local community initiatives. There are three outcomes: Outcome 1: Capacities of the Village committees and CSOs to design, implement and collaborate on community-centered projects are improved Outcome 2: Conflict-affected communities, especially most vulnerable persons, feel safe and dignified, see their mental and physical wellbeing improved and empowered to find their own solutions Outcome 3: Enhanced self-reliance of conflict-affected communities through vocational trainings, livelihoods and income generation opportunities The project seeks to meet immediate humanitarian needs while strengthening the community-based system and the civil society, empowering local communities and CSOs to be resilient before, during, and after shocks.
