Kvinna till Kvinna SPACE-programme 2024-2025 Civil Society Strategy

The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation (KtK) works for gender equality and women's participation in peace processes in countries affected by war and conflict in line with UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (and the subsequent resolutions on the Women, Peace and Security Agenda). KtK's application to Sida for support for the program "Strengthening Peacebuilders' Actions for Community Engagement -¬ SPACE" was for the years 2024-2028. This agreement has been signed for eleven months due to the government's steering to Sida in the appropriation direction. It has then been extended until September 30th 2025 following the government decision on possible extension in the new CSO strategy for 2025-2029. Within the SPACE program, KtK works with four thematic areas of change: 1) feminist peace, 2) political and economic rights, 3) gender-based violence (GBV) and sexual, reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and 4) feminist movements. KtK supports more than 60 local partner organizations within the framework of the SPACE program in KtK's four geographical operating regions: Sub-Saharan Africa, South Caucasus and Ukraine, Western Balkans, and Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The programme is assessed as relevant to the CSO Strategy 2024 and its target areas: 1) Strengthening the capacity of civil society in developing countries; and 2) Conditions for civil society actors in developing countries to operate.
