Ipas is an internationally recognized NGO that works to advance reproductive justice by expanding access to safe abortion and contraception globally since 50 years back. Over the years, more than 69 000 women and adolescent girls have accessed safe abortion services and 53 000 have received post¬abortion contraception services. The project has four key objectives that will be achieved before end of 2027: 1. Women and girls have improved access to available, accessible, and acceptable abortion, contraceptive, and SGBV services within Mozambique's health sector. 2. Humanitarian agencies have enhanced capacity to take evidence¬based action to protect SRHR before, during, and after humanitarian crises. 3. Communities reduce the prevalence of harmful gender norms and cultural practices, increase support for SRHR, and refer people to safe SRH services. 4. A national movement for SRHR—led primarily by women and young people— demands accountability from government leaders on SRHR and SGBV, and resists threats to progress. This will be achieved through advocacy work in various forums, technical support, dialogue with target groups and local communities, training of health staff and upgrading of care facilities. It is proposed to support a contribution of 190 million SEK during 2023¬2027 of which 98 million SEK will be allocated to Ipas for their programmatic work to achieve goals 1-3, 90 Million SEK to strengthen an established network of local civil society organizations working within the SRHR sphere, including LGBTQI issues, reflected in goal 4 above and 2 Million SEK for midterm review.
