Throughout EngageMedia's advocacy efforts (releasing articles, pod casts, social media campaigns in local languages, film screenings on Cinemata, content republications, and events), EngageMedia successfully raised awareness and public understanding of digital security, regulations, and internet freedom in countries like Cambodia, Indonesia, and Myanmar as well as regional level. EngageMedia has enhanced the knowledge and skills of change makers on digital rights, digital safety and security through discussions and capacity-building activities at both national and regional levels. These activities provided platforms for sharing ideas and skills among country and regional partners. Stakeholders have also improved their capabilities, with participants in EngageMedia's sessions becoming engaged local trainers in their communities or active contributors to similar initiatives, such as localization sprints. Translating digital security tools and materials into local languages has improved the programme's sustainability as well. EngageMedia's network building efforts have fostered more connections between grassroots organizations, academia, and artist collectives, leading to regional and global collaborations. Their events and regional gathering have been positively received for engaging youth and local communities. Participants in their events, such as Digital Rights Asia Pacific Assembly(DRAPAC), have shared how they formed friendships and collaborations with new partners and expressed appreciation for EngageMedias support for their advocacy initiatives and eagerness to join future opportunities for growth and collaboration. Through DRAPAC networks, EngageMedia also has successfully brought digital rights community together with broader human rights movements, including feminist groups, environmental rights communities, youth, indigenous people and other marginalized communities etc.
