The DIA Project aims to continue supporting the ongoing digitalisation process in Ukraine with the view of strengthening the Government’s capacities to deliver high quality and accessible digital services to vulnerable groups in Ukraine while using digital technologies and solutions to address other complex challenges posed by the war, including ensuring transparency and accountability of the recovery process, critically important for Ukraine’s EU Integration.

Result
•UNDP Ukraine, within the DIA Support project, launched its own podcast Women Digitalisers about women who create electronic products for millions of Ukrainians. The project spotlights the experience of female professionals promoting digital transformation in the country, while providing practical advice on combating gender bias. The first episode of the podcast was published for the International Day of Girls in Information and Communication Technologies on 25 April. Episodes will be published once a month. Women Digitalisers podcast can be listened to on the UNDP's YouTube channel, as well as on Google Podcasts, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Megogo, and Amazon Music platforms. •On the Girls in ICT Day eve, the project published the first article with stories of women users of Digital Education Hubs libraries. These are public spaces that teach people digital literacy. The article tells stories of eight older-age women who acquired digital skills in Hubs libraries and how it helped them in life. This is the first series of success stories from libraries. Read them on the UNDP Ukraine website. A video about how libraries teach people digital skills can be also found on UNDP Ukraine YouTube. •For the International Girls in ICT Day on 25 April, two UNDP DIA Support representatives Oksana Grechko, Policy Development Officer, and Mykola Yabchenko, Digital Literacy Officer, a contact person in the group of projects on Democratic Governance participated in the live programme of the Ukrainian Radio. Together with the Head of the CDTO Campus Halyna Pustova (Ministry of Digital Transformation), they spoke about the problem of representation of women in the ICT sector and how UNDP, with funding from Sweden, namely together with MDT, supports the government to stimulate the growth of women share in these spheres. Listen to the recording of the radio broadcast by the link (in Ukrainian). •On 27-28 April, the first offline training was held in Kyiv within the Leadership Programme for Women Involved in Digitalisation of Public Services. During a two-day training, 20 participants had sessions on leadership, strategic communications, and presented the digital projects they are working on. The programme started on 4 April in cooperation with CDTO Campus, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. It aims to empower women involved in digitalisation at mid-level management positions in the public sector. Beside an offline training session, the programme has 17 weekly webinars and will conclude with a study tour abroad in September. Find more photos from the event in the UNDP Ukraine Flickr Album. •The Swedish Institute published an article featuring two project colleagues Policy Development Officer Oksana Grechko and Capacity Development and M&A Analyst Anton Aloshyn, who are both members of the alumni network in Ukraine. In their interview, they talked about UNDP initiatives on building inclusive and accessible public services through digitalisation in Ukraine and promoting increasing women's representation in the ICT sphere through, namely, a leadership programme for women civil servants involved in the digitalisation of public services. Read the article by the link. •On 19 April, Policy Development Officer Oksana Grechko and UNDP Consultant on Digital Accessibility Dmytro Popov joined a webinar of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy titled Ensuring digital accessibility of theaters websites. They taught basic digital accessibility requirements for attendees and reviewed several theater websites for functional compliance. •UNDP in Ukraine has announced a call for bids in a tender to design and implement a communication campaign. It aims to support the government partners in increasing awareness of Ukrainian citizens about the new eHealth innovation an electronic patient cabinet developed by the National Health Service Unit. The enhanced communication efforts will help people (both patients and medical professionals) to learn about the launch of the patients electronic cabinet, its possibilities, and benefits, thereby, encouraging them to start using new capabilities. The deadline for submission of proposals is 13 May.
The objectives of the intervention are as follows: -To strengthen capacity of the Government institutions to design and implement inclusive digital transformation policy at the national and local levels; -To equip the Government with a digital infrastructure that ensures efficient and effective processes for the civil service and delivery of technically modernized digital public services for vulnerable and war-affected groups; -To increase the digital skills of Ukrainian women and men to fully benefit from digitalization.
