The project also linked academic teaching with practice by supporting 4 paid graduate-level internships (2 for each six-month) at ICCCAD, with the interns required to write and publish climate change articles for print media outlets (i.e., Dhaka Tribune).\n\n- The first cohort of 20 youth leaders from 14 districts of Bangladesh underwent a 6-month fellowship, including a residential workshop facilitated by senior climate experts, field visits to climate vulnerable areas, and 6 online training sessions. Part of the focus was to strengthen the capacity of youth leaders to lead local climate networks. Two youth fellows (one male and one female) were selected as youth delegates to COP28 in Dubai, and were trained in different COP processes such as negotiations, advocacy and communications.\n\n- IUB\u002FICCCAD launched the Youth Innovation Fund nationally, and selected 12 receipients who submitted proposals to implement youth-led climate action projects, fostering collaborations in climate education, knowledge creation, and campus green initiatives. This initiative helped to catalyze youth-driven local solutions and empower them as proactive climate change makers.\n\nOBJECTIVE: Generate factual evidence from local practices to scale up at the global level.\n\n- Following a national call for proposals, 10 young researchers received grants on diverse topics on climate change. The grant applications were screened by a committee of independent climate academicians, half of whom were not connected to IUB. These grantees successfully conducted and submitted comprehensive research reports, with five of them taking the initiative to publish their research findings on various digital media platforms.\n\n- IUB\u002FICCCAD collaborated with the national daily, Dhaka Tribune, to produce a month supplementary magazine called the Climate Tribune. This compilation features articles authored by both project personnel\u002FICCCAD staff, partners and beneficiaries of their research-, project- and fellowship grants, shedding light on diverse aspects of climate resilience. This initiative also contributes to the dissemination of knowledge and experiences related to climate change.\n\nOBJECTIVE: Improve institutional efficiency and effectiveness in decision-making and putting into practice in climate interventions.\n\nICCCAD was the key organisation in designing and organising the policy dialogue, \"Nexus between Climate Change and Health,\" before COP-28. In addition to contributing to informed decision-making and inter-ministerial institutional efficiency in addressing emerging climate change challenges, the policy dialogue facilitated knowledge co-generation among policymakers.
